International Business meets International Politics
After the killing of Osma Bin Laden and seeing Pakistan’s denial with involvement, along China’s rush to defend Pakistan from any wrong doings, I have come to the conclusion that the US should probably rethink think who they choose to support and do business with.

Pakistan has been receiving hundreds of billions of dollars from the US and the international community for what was supposed to be used to keep the terrorists from influencing their government and secure their Afghan border but then it turns out that they were cooking the books and a good deal of that money went to poising themselves against India and corrupt politicians pockets while Osama lived comfortably within the safety of Pakistan’s top military area. Misusing our generous contributions to strengthen themselves against India was bad enough but harboring Osama really takes it to another level.

Then China comes to their defense saying that they will provide more financial support to Pakistan’s so called “effort” and that those mean Americans should send yet more money and support. Before I get to my point I first want to outline the parties positions and set the stage for solution.

Pakistan’s Position

Not many people outside of the Indian continent know much about how Pakistan was formed so here’s a brief history. Pakistan was a part of India until the Muslims in the area worked their way into the local and state governments and decided break off from India to form their own Muslim nation. Prior to this, the area was full of a diverse group of Indians from all types of religious and ethical backgrounds until they either converted, fled or were killed. But getting their own country wasn’t good enough, now they want to attack India and turn it into a Muslim nation as well. In addition, there have been Pakistani invasions in Kashmir and other Indian regions. India has had to defend itself from their totalitarian advances ever since. The sad thing is they both have nukes which makes it a very sticky situation.

China’s Position

China has always been a suppressive state which thrives on censorship and a cast system that robs it’s citizens of their freedoms but even worse, they have always been anti-American and they were anti-Western before America was even established. Furthermore, lets not forget their association with Stalin, communism and the genocides that always seem to come hand in hand with these types totalitarian policies. The main reason why China wants to help Pakistan is because India and China also have a long history of wars and fighting over disputed areas in the north. China has also invaded India on several occasions. Not only that but India poses a legitimate threat to China’s economy because of it’s competition for cheap labor and international exports. So an enemy of an enemy always makes good friend. China not only wants to expand it dominance over all of Asia but they have also been aiming for global military dominance with the recent construction of Naval aircraft carriers, a super powerful weapon of which can only be used for offensive attacks abroad and not for defense.

India’s Position

Surrounded by enemies on both sides, India is one of the most diverse countries on Earth with dozens different ethnic groups, 80 different languages and a handful of major religions like Sikhism, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism and Buddhism yet, they all live together in complete tolerance and peace (with the exception of radical Muslims who just can’t seem to help themselves from segregating and starting trouble in almost every Indian city). It’s a beautiful experience to see these groups shopping together, eating together, working together and being great friends just as they have done for thousands of years. All this tolerance and freedom is a threat to neighboring Pakistan as well as their other neighboring enemy, China. There’s nothing that either of them would like more than to destroy India and everything it stands for.

America’s Position

As an American it’s hard not to give a biased opinion but its also hard to argue with the fact that America is the most tolerant country, full of immigrants not only from China, India and Pakistan but also from every country and creed in the world! Everyone is welcome and is treated with the same level of respect. The US has always been freedom’s biggest supporter and the strongest advocate to tolerance and civil rights that the world has ever seen. Sure its not perfect and no country ever will be but in contrast, imagine a world ruled by intolerant, freedom killing governments that commit genocide and violate so many civil rights. Freedom, tolerance, liberty and justice are the reasons why the US is so successful and provides the highest quality standards of living in the world. I would never want to trade in my freedoms and my comforts to be ruled by a country that tells me who to pray to, how to think and controls my every day activities.

My Personal Opinion

Stop supporting Pakistan because they are just using that support against us and against India. Stop buying goods from China and start buying them from India instead. India has just the same capabilities to provide cheap goods and labor as does China and the goods and services would no doubt be better in quality. The Us should leave China and Pakistan on their own and if they want to live miserable oppressed lives then let them! Furthermore, if they conspire against us then we should be proactive in stopping it before they become more of a threat than they already are. the cold war never ended for the US, only the opponents have changed. The rest of the free world should not just stand by and allow these these countries to plot against their freedoms either so we should call on the UK, Europe, South America, Australia, Africa and even Russia to stand firm and support liberty, justice and freedom at all costs.
