My name is Jovan Miljkovic, Senior Investment Advisor of SIEPA, the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency here in Belgrade. After getting a few requests, Zack asked me to write this post to provide his readers some more information about Serbia Outsourcing. First, let me just confirm to you that you can lean on me regarding the logistics of your arrival to Serbia. Attached for download I am providing couple of raw documents made by us that should give you a feel of what could you expect here in terms of manpower and hi-end office space.
So, instead of copy pasting copy pasted statistic assumptions about language skills in Belgrade, we have combed CVs posted at our most visited job site Infostud. I have provided this informational, Serbia Outsourcing Media Package.
The basic methodology is (also explained in the doc) this: the data from their DB of CVs were screened on a couple of basic principles – job seekers residing in Belgrade, with minimum college degree education, technical background (plus philology) were further screened according to language proficiency in the languages you stated as of key importance. The levels asserted were level 4 (intermediate) and level 5+ (advanced), as on a 1-6 scale.
Serbia Outsourcing Advice
As not all of the unemployed people in Belgrade are in this database (just as not all people looking for job are unemployed), this number needed to be further adjusted to give the rough and more realistic picture. This was done by simple multiplication, deploying conservative approach.
The bottom line is – you can easily recruit sufficient number of people for the project just using Infostud’s DB. Those people can be further interviewed for more in depth evaluation.
Together with that, report from last year about office buildings for 400 seats and results of a study done for Ministry for Youth about youth unemployment.
If there is anything else I could do to help you with prior to your arrival, please do not hesitate to contact me.
