Young Pimpin’

I’m originally from South East North Carolina where at the age of 20, I opened my first business, Cape Fear Escorts. I ran the company within the constraints of the laws and provided wholesome entertainment to Wilmington and Myrtle Beach’s naughty elite. I used to not disclose this part of my professional career but the truth is that I learned a lot about running a business at a young age. I managed around 36 male and female entertainers per year, 4 full-time drivers along with customer service. This all required payroll and HR skills, corporate filings, marketing campaigns, phonebook advertisement, and hired attorneys and CPAs. I sold the company after 5 years for a generous profit and set my sights on higher goals.

Limos Owner/Driver

Just before I sold Cape Fear Escorts, I partnered up with a buddy to open my second local business, Dream Limousine, LLC and ran a small fleet of 4 limos that included a stretch Bently built on the chassis of a Lincoln Towncar, a 16 passenger H1 Hummer, a 14 passenger H2 Hummer and a 14 passanger Lincoln Navigator. Never made a lot of money in this venture but we enjoyed a steady flow of bookings coming from private parties, birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate shuttles and the seasonal high school prom events.

Day Trader

By 23, I started dabbling in the stock markets and ended up spending 8 hours a day reading candlestick charts and making small day trades. I then, partnered up with a colleague and held a few day trading training classes under the corporation of Pro Traders. Inc. Eventually, I couldn’t take the ups and downs nor did I have enough capital to make a real living out of it so I moved on greener pastures. I still have stock in Google, Apple and can’t wait until Facebook goes IPO.

Real Estate Agent

After getting bored with my small town life, I decided to move to a bigger small town; Orlando, FL, where I became a real estate agent at the age of 24. In the height of the real estate bubble, I was able to construct a formula of flipping condos via option contracts. This allowed me to control properties without having to obtain a mortgage or put large amounts of capital on the line. As a result I hung my license within the year because doing option contracts has a lot less liability if you are not a licensed real estate agent.

Lead Tree CEO and SEO

Being in the real estate industry, I realized the importance of quality sales leads and started looking for ways to use the internet to capture real estate and mortgage leads. I launched PPC marketing campaigns online but found the ROI to be weak so I started looking for ways to improve my organic search engine rankings. I also tried my luck at telemarketing the leads to schedule preset appointments and live transfer leads. Within the year, I had become #1 in mortgage SEO and was generating more mortgage and real estate leads than I could possibly handle. This lead to the opening of my lead generation company, The Lead Tree.

Call Center Consultant

As The Lead Tree grew, I found myself being contacted by call centers in India and the Philippines with offers to cut my overhead costs via call center outsourcing. I finally decided to give it a shot and after a small learning curve, I found success with a company in Bangalore, India. 6 months later I had grown an offshore work staff of over 50 employees so I figured it was time to jump on a plane and go to India, where they through this welcoming ceremony called a “Puja” to bless our call center.

Outsourcing Consultant

It wasn’t long after that, that I was on my way to Manila, Philippines to expand operations. By now the real estate and mortgage industries were sinking like the Titanic so I diversified into other sectors like insurance, debt settlement, B2b marketing and SEO outsourcing. With my new resources and offshore connections, I managed and consulted outsourcing campaigns for Citizens Trust Financial, Wachovia Bank, AIG, Nationwide and many more but the part that I’m really proud of was that I was able to bring these same global resources to small businesses as well, which helped to level the playing field and allowed mom & pop compete with corporate giants.

I’m Still a Carolina Boy

After dealing with the stress of declining markets, owning properties in different states and having to mange over 100 employees in 3 different countries, I often like to take a little time to go back home to Wilmington, NC. I love our weather, coastline and beaches, moss in the trees, fried okra, oysters, moonshine and of course that good ol’timey music.

While on a leisure trip back to NC, I was offered a job working for Bored.com in Manhattan, NY as the director of SEO. Within the year, I was able to increase traffic to over 250,000 visits per day and landed them on the first page of Google for competitive keywords like “fun games”. I got to work alongside some very talented people in a fast growing niche. Online games have grown to become a multibillion dollar industry.

Porn SEO Guru Working From Romania

My success on Bored.com caught the attention of Freeporn.com owner who after learning about my outsourcing experience, sent me to Bucharest, Romania to build a SEO outsourcing team of writers, social media agents, link builders and web developers. Within another 6 months I became #1 in Google for “Porn SEO” and was able to increase traffic to our money site by over 59% . We were #2 for the keyword “free porn” and on the first page for almost all our intermediate long tail keywords.

When the company made the overnight decision to move operations back to NYC, I took my abandoned agents and started an SEO Outsourcing Company called SeoBpo.com.

Philippines Outsourcing Consultant

While on a business trip back in the Philippines, I was referred by a friend to the owner of AdultSearch.com to setup yet another SEO outsourcing process. I currently live in Angeles City where I manage an ever growing outsourcing facility geared toward IT, call center and SEO processes. In addition, we also offer seat leasing options for companies looking to expand their operations overseas. I also speak fluent Tagalog so I launched a site called MatutoMagTagalog.com to teach people how to learn Tagalog.
